🌸 DIY: LoveShackFancy-Inspired Scrap Fabric Beaded Bracelet 🌸
Your new favorite cottage-core accessory is just a few steps away!
Materials You'll Need:
-
Scrap fabric (think small florals, butterflies, or cottage-core prints)
-
Beads, charms, pearls—anything pretty!
-
Scissors
-
Toothpick or large beading needle
-
Mod Podge, glue, or tape (to stiffen fabric ends)
-
Jump rings + needle-nose pliers (if using charms)
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Choose Your Fabric
Pick a soft, lightweight scrap fabric in a print that speaks to your romantic soul. Florals, vintage butterflies, and pastel patterns all work beautifully.
2. Cut to Size
Trim your fabric into a strip approximately 1" wide and 18–20" long. This gives you enough length to wrap and tie around your wrist (or ankle!) with sweet, fluttery tails.
3. Pick Your Adornments
Select your favorite beads, charms, or trinkets. Mix pearls with pastel glass beads, add in a gold heart charm—anything that adds charm and whimsy.
4. Prep Your Tools
Make sure you have everything ready:
✂️ Scissors
🪡 Toothpick or beading needle (for threading)
🧴 Mod Podge, glue, or tape (to stiffen ends for easier beading)
🧷 Jump rings and needle-nose pliers (if you’re adding charms)
5. String the Magic
Use your toothpick or needle to help thread beads onto your fabric strip. Play with spacing and patterns—there are no rules, just what feels right.
6. Wrap & Tie
Test the fit around your wrist. Once you’re happy with the layout, tie the bracelet securely in a bow or knot.
7. Trim the Ends
Snip off any excess fabric, leaving a little extra if you like the look of soft tails.
